The TBT Hall of Fame presentation dinner was held at Elwick Racecourse on 22nd June with a fantastic turn out of 107 guests in attendance.
The highlight of the night was the induction of Ted Tylutki and the 2002 Boys President’s Shield Team in to the Tasmanian Tenpin Bowling Hall of Fame.
Ted Tylutki started bowling in 1972 and is still bowling in league and competition today at age 77. Below are details of just some of Ted’s achievements over the years. Won the Tasmanian State Masters in 1987. Represented Tasmania in Rachuig in 1991, 1992 & 1994. Manager the Men’s Rachuig teams in 1989 & 1990. Member of the TBA Seniors team in 2012. Represented Tasmania in the ATBSO Open Team on 18 occasions between 1993 to 2013. Named in the ATBSO Open Allstars Team on 3 occasions. Won ATBSO Open Sportsperson Award in 1998. Member of the ATBSO Restricted Team on 3 occasions between 2018 & 2023. Member of the ATBSO Grand Seniors Team in 2014 and won the Sportsperson Award in that year. Ted was a member of the winning ATBSO Restricted Team in 2018.
The 2002 President’s Shield became the second Tasmanian Boys team to win the National Competition. Team Members – Daniel Bunting, David Cavanagh, Ben Harriss, Jarrod McCarthy, Adam Reeve, Joel Reeve, Nathan Young, Coach – Brett Kenley, Assistant Coach – Gavin Hawkes and Manager – Colin Reeve.
