It is with great regret that we wish to advise the bowling community of the passing of John Philips last week.

John took up bowling in 1971 and was involved as both a bowler and administrator for many years. John was a founding member of Centre League at Moonah Bowl and the Mornington Tenpin Tournament Club & represented Tasmania in both Rachuig, Seniors and ATBSO. He was also the TBA State Manager for 5 years and the national ATBSO Treasurer for 6 years. John’s contribution to bowling was recognised in 2014 when he was inducted in to the Tasmanian Hall of Fame.

John will be sadly missed and our sincere condolences go out to Sue, Andrew, Lauren and family over your tragic loss.
